this is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
slumdog is fun, it's entertaining, it's real, it has some strong messages, it's relevant, and just anybody can be connected through this film. it's plain brilliant. watch it.
it isn't some typical bollywood movie. the hero ain't that good-looking, though it involves some policemen. and the heroine, she's not heavenly pretty. it has that bollywood beramai-ramai dancing at the train station though! and it's not the typical hindi love movie. it's more. it's everything.
i like the cinematography taken for each scene. i thought the main lead, jamal, when he was already an adult was not too significant. but then again, but he was to be insignificant. he was, after all, a "chaiwalla". i like how the story evolves around the questions that he has to answer in the famous "who wants to be a millionaire?" and all of his answers were from his life experiences. funny, how one doesn't have to read or be smart, but how luck can also play it's role.
